Heavily influenced by the masterful work of Ghibli Studios, we wanted to make a game with memorable characters and create a story through animation alone (no dialoges or text). A Boy In The Woods aims to recreate the dreadful feeling of going home late at night. The creeping shadows and the spooky sounds. All through the lens of a child.
The game was created over a 2 weeks period. Hectic days filled with concept art, animation, coding and prototyping. The result was a 2d-horror platformer emphasizing atmosphere and peculiar creatures.
